I made a new friend today. His name is Jerome and he feeds me delicious coffee and ice cream from Dean and Deluca with the greatest one-liner of all time: hello beautiful how you doin? It’s like channeling Joey with a little bit of DC twang added for good measure. He is one of those free spirits I search relentlessly for; I love how his simplicity seamlessly complements an adoration for life. He never fails to “flip the script” when someone is a downer, or is looking for conflict. His solution to grumps? “How bout I buy you a coffee?” Such joie de vivre.
Met Lindsay Price in Greenwich Village last weekend, and mustered up the courage to talk to her. She’s as gorgeous in life as she is in Lipstick Jungle, and just as adorable. I love it when celebrities are down to earth, it makes my day for no apparent reason. She’ll be starring in another ABC shindig in the fall…something about witches of eastwick..? Tune in with me :)

Apparently it could be done.
I’ve decided to harness Youth before it escapes me.
So much of my youth has been spent planning a colorful and adventurous life. It finally dawned on me that these dreams will soon be mere magazine cut-outs, stuffed in dusty scrapbooks unless I stop planning and start doing. I see it all around me: zesty girls and boys excitedly flirting with the idea of living like nomads discovering spicy alcoves of paradise, only to embark upon a less-than-fantastic life of 9 to 5.
Before my youth gives out, I intend to exploit it. I will taste daring and innovative dishes while my metabolism is still on crack. I will jump off mountains and plunge into deep seas before blood pressure becomes a worthy concern. I will dance with no inhibitions before my joints weaken. I will master the sultry glance before wrinkles frame the corners of my eyes. I will find laughter, rather, I will be laughter before my dimples transform into crescent lines. I will dress fearlessly and boldly.
Meanwhile, I vow to apply sunscreen daily so as to extend my youth-ness.
I will live a sensuous life. I will live it now, before things start sagging.
